Aquasana Introduces Four New Showstoppers at IBS
AUSTIN, Texas, Jan. 22, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Aquasana, America’s leading manufacturer of top-rated home water filtration systems introduces innovative new products at the annual International Builders’ Show (IBS). Organized by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), IBS is the country’s largest light construction building industry tradeshow. The event kicks off the year by showcasing the market’s hottest trends from top industry leaders. As a trusted brand within the water filtration industry, Aquasana launches its new, game-changing products at IBS.
The brand asserts that most Americans do not realize the amount of harmful contaminants legally allowed in U.S. tap water. The brand plans to lead the charge to remove these agents from drinking and shower water. The latest product introductions are a testament to Aquasana’s commitment to enlighten consumers that clean water and a healthy environment are the most important components to healthy living and overall well-being.
For complete home water filtration, the Premium Rhino whole-home system is capable of filtering up to one million gallons of contaminated water. Unlike many brands, the whole-home system contains media with a 10-year lifespan. The media in the system is independently tested and verified to remove more than 97 percent of chlorine for cleaner, healthier water. The system represents a first line of defense for chemical-related wear and tear on pipes and appliances.
To assist those living in the growing number of cities using chloramines to treat municipal water, the brand offers the ultimate customization to address higher rates of water contamination. The EQ-400 whole-home system reduces a remarkable 90 percent of chloramines – a dangerous combination of chlorine and ammonia. Aquasana worked in conjunction with the University Of Texas School Of Engineering to determine the most effective media available to reduce this difficult to remove chemical compound. The EQ-400 provides the latest cutting edge technology within water filtration media for reducing chloramines in water.
Aquasana’s new and improved under-the-counter system rounds out the suite of products with the brand’s most powerful water filter. What the brand calls the most cost-effective, under-the-counter filtration system in the D-I-Y segment is NSF Certified to remove chloramines and over 97 percent of chlorine. The eco-friendly cartridge exchange system is the first in the DIY segment. In addition, the cartridges are certified to reduce over 60 contaminants for up to six months. This system has also been independently tested to reduce pharmaceuticals.
“These new products were developed to drive innovation in the water filtration industry and address the proliferation of the use of chloramines as a means to disinfect water,” said Todd Bartee, Aquasana’s chief executive officer. “We offer a full line of products that effectively remove chloramines from water. No other filters perform as effectively against contaminants compared to Aquasana filters. As municipalities change the types and amounts of chemicals used to treat water, we’re providing solutions that keep our customers healthy and Aquasana at the forefront of the industry.”
Aquasana’s IBS booth display offers a memorable demonstration about the potency of chlorine in tap water. The booth, a venue for Aquasana’s Contaminant Cocktail Party, invites visitors to do their own tap water testing. The first step requires that they add pool-testing chemicals to regular tap water that dyes the chlorine yellow. The second step requires that they gargle a completely separate glass of regular tap water. The same chemical will be added with no signs of yellow dye, demonstrating that if you do not use a water filter, you become a water filter.
