Fun was on a roll Saturday, January 19th at AMF Lanes in Waukesha, WI courtesy of SNAPPIN’ MINISTRIES, a non-profit organization supporting parents of children with special needs. Families were able to enjoy 2 hours of unlimited bowling, pizza and beverages, all courtesy of the charity’s generous donors. Camaraderie filled the air as parents connected while their children were able to relish an environment of acceptance for those of all abilities.
“A disproportionate amount of these families’ incomes are spent on medical bills and travel to doctor’s appointments,” states Barbara Dittrich, the non-profit’s Executive Director. “What a blessing to be able to offer these children, their siblings and their parents some good clean fun together at no cost!”
SNAPPIN’ MINISTRIES, headquartered in Oconomowoc, WI, provides parents with support through local alternating quarterly free respite, fun accessible family events, and restaurant dine-outs. TLC baskets and gift cards for hospitalizations, multiple web-based resources and a one-of-a-kind parent mentor program are also nationally available.
