Women's Health Symposium to Focus on Patient Safety Through Technology and Improved Communication

NEW YORK, Oct. 22 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- "Patient Safety Through Technology and Improved Communication" is the theme of the 26th Annual Fall Symposium for women's health care providers sponsored by the Montefiore Medical Center Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Women's Health. The conference, called Autumn in New York 2007, will be held November 9-11 at The New York Helmsley Hotel in New York City. The goal of the conference is to present the most current scientific information about improving patient safety through communication and technology in order to reduce medical error and increase patient satisfaction.

The meeting will focus on: -- Team training, bar coding, physician order entry, electronic medical records and their impact on patient safety. -- How obstetricians can partner with their medical liability carriers to improve patient safety. -- How surgical and obstetric simulation can be used for physician training. -- The newest robotic surgery techniques.
