Tara Charvat, Vice President for Marketing and Marketing Operations at Valeritas Named Marketing Communications Chair of the Community Leadership Board for the American Diabetes Association’s Northern New Jersey Office
BRIDGEWATER, N.J., March 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — The American Diabetes Association announced that Tara Charvat of Valeritas, was named Marketing Communications Chair of the Community Leadership Board (CLB) for the Northern New Jersey office of the American Diabetes Association.
As Marketing Communications Chair, Tara Charvat will provide leadership and direction to the Northern New Jersey Market Community Leadership Board to support annual American Diabetes Association goals and objectives in achieving the 2012-2015 Strategic Plan and Annual Organization Objectives and has responsibility for promotion of the Association’s Stop Diabetes® movement by coordinating and integrating marketing and communications efforts for revenue-generating events, mission delivery activities, general awareness and outreach efforts as well as support for improved acquisition and long-term engagement of volunteers.

Charvat joined Valeritas in December 2006 as Vice President for Marketing and Marketing Operations and lead on its V-Go insulin delivery device designed for patients with Type 2 diabetes. Prior to Valeritas, Charvat held advertising and medical education leadership roles within Publicis Healthcare Communications Group. Most recently, Charvat was Vice President at Saatchi and Saatchi Healthcare Advertising where she led new product commercialization strategy planning, brand development, and new brand launches. Charvat also worked for Abbott International in a variety of marketing, new product commercialization, and medical communication roles. She is also on the Board of Trustees for the Diabetes Foundation of New Jersey.
