Patient Prompt Announces Advanced Text Messaging Functionality at 2013 Annual AMGA in Orlando, Florida

March 14, 2013

Two-Way Text/SMS Messaging with intelligent Functionality Introduced At AMGA

(PRWEB) March 14, 2013

Patient Prompt®, the leader in innovative patient communication technology, has developed a unique way of identifying whether a patient phone number is a mobile or landline number allowing its subscribers to contact patients via text/SMS automatically from its existing patient records.

“We developed this feature to meet the needs of an ever mobile patient population, many of whom no longer have home phone lines and are utilizing their mobile phone as their main number. Previously, practices using dated auto dialer technology would be required to identify whether the phone number for the patient was a mobile or land number, supply it to its messaging provider and wait for a confirmation/call report the next day. This can be very time-consuming for enterprise practices with a high volume of patients. Practices utilizing enterprise level EHR´s, such as Epic, for example, no longer need to worry about multiple phone number fields in their system. By adopting our advanced solution, Patient Prompt® can now identify the type of number and determine if it can receive text/SMS messaging,” says Founder & President Jeremy Greven

Patient Prompt® has completely automated text/SMS messaging by eliminating the need for practices to filter mobile numbers from their database. In addition, Patient Prompt® integrates seamlessly with a practice’s existing EHR scheduler providing confirmations for its two-way text messaging in real-time, updating the scheduling system every three to five minutes. This allows practices to have the most up to date patient scheduling information and identify gaps in their schedule for their providers.

Patient Prompt® has also simplified the way patients can respond to text/SMS appointment reminders by simply typing in the word “yes” or “no”. Patient Prompt® text/SMS reminders are also able to provide patients a direct link to the practice´s patient portal for additional comments.

Patient Prompt® will be exhibiting at Booth #515 at the upcoming American Medical Group Association (AMGA) Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida on March 14-16. Patient Prompt® will also be highlighting its successful PrevCare Initiative, developed to assist practices in improving patient population healthcare outcomes and compliance.
