Marianjoy, Chicago Medical School Establish New Academic Affiliation
New affiliation will greatly expand Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Residency Program at Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital.

Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital and the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science recently announced a new relationship that designates the Marianjoy Residency Program as an academic affiliate of the North Chicago, Illinois, university. Russell Robertson, MD, Dean of the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science and Vice President of Medical Affairs, and Dr. Noel Rao, Director of the Marianjoy Residency Program and Vice President of Medical Affairs at Marianjoy, played extensive roles in establishing this new affiliation.

In addition to his roles as Vice President of Medical Affairs and Director of the Residency Program at Marianjoy, Dr. Noel Rao will provide leadership as Chair and Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Chicago Medical School. “Both institutions will benefit greatly from this collaboration as we work together to meet the evolving healthcare needs of our communities,” says Dr. Rao.
Marianjoy´s three-year Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) training program includes clinical experience, educational opportunities, and research activities. The residency program, which was established in 1994, is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.
