Bumble Bee Foods Partners with Hispanic Celebrity Chef Doreen Colondres

America’s Leading Seafood Brand Collaborates with Celebrity Chef Doreen Colondres to Inspire Hispanics to Live Healthy and Delicious Lives

MIAMI, April 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Bumble Bee Foods, America’s leading premium seafood brand, announced a new partnership with Hispanic celebrity Chef Doreen Colondres at the 2013 Hispanicize Conference in Miami, FL. Colondres, who is best known for her lively cooking segments on FOX’s Utilisima Network and as the creator of the brand and website The Kitchen Doesn’t Bite<cite>,</cite><cite> </cite>will help Bumble Bee connect with the growing U.S. Hispanic market. Colondres will help extend Bumble Bee’s successful “BeeWell for Life(®)” brand philosophy and encourage Hispanic consumers to exercise and live healthy and delicious lives.

Colondres is a chef, food editor and leading figure in today’s “Latin kitchen” movement and is passionate about teaching people how to cook with fresh, healthy and seasonal ingredients. She is an expert in the wide range of Latin cooking — from Central America and the Caribbean, to the tip of Chile and everywhere in between. Born into a family of cooks, Colondres’ family kitchen was the epicenter of her childhood. She developed a passion for local ingredients, fresh food and merging classic flavors with new ingredients. Her ultimate goal is to make cooking fun and delicious and let everyone to know that “The Kitchen Doesn’t Bite!”

Among Bumble Bee’s newest product offerings that Colondres will be supporting are three new varieties of Prime Fillet(®) Gourmet Flavors, which combine the highest-quality albacore with chopped chipotles, sundried tomatoes or jalapenos and carefully paired seasonings.
