New health-focused blog offers virtual connection to Capital Blue health and wellness retail store

HARRISBURG, Pa., April 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Today Capital Blue is making a virtual connection to the community by launching a health and wellness blog that will allow people to experience many of the store’s resources when they aren’t able to personally stop in. The blog can be found by visiting www.capitalbluestore.com and clicking on the Blog tab.

Located at the Promenade Shops in Center Valley, Pa., Capital Blue is a health and wellness retail store focused on customer choice and healthy living, and is designed to provide one-stop shopping to explore insurance options and discover fun ways to engage in good health. The store was opened in December 2012 by Capital BlueCross, the region’s leading health insurer.

“We realize that there are times when people can’t physically be at Capital Blue because of bad weather, vacations, a busy work schedule or personal commitments. So we created the Capital Blue Blog to keep everyone connected to their healthy place,” said Tom Peluso, director of Capital Blue. “Through this blog, people learn about healthy living from our contributing writers, while also accessing even more health resources through external links, photos and videos.”

Contributors to the blog include registered dieticians, personal trainers, physicians, fitness instructors, Capital BlueCross health educators, a photojournalist, a freelance writer and others. The blog features five major categories: nutrition, wellness, fitness, recipes and events (at Capital Blue and throughout the community).
