Raritan Bay Medical Center: First Hospital in New York-New Jersey Area to Launch Procedure Pricing for the Mobile Environment

Raritan Bay Medical Center (RBMC) is proud to announce that it is the first hospital in New Jersey and in the New York metro area to provide access to pricing of common bariatric procedures on its mobile site to better enable patients to make informed decisions. In addition, RBMC is pleased to announce the launch of its new, content-rich mobile website, for use on smartphones and other mobile devices, that provides users with streamlined browsing capabilities and access to the information and services they need while on the move.

The mobile website offers key information that patients and visitors might need on the go and makes it even faster to get essential information, all from any mobile device. The mobile website represents RBMC´s ongoing effort towards creating a more transparent and comfortable patient experience. By logging on to rbmc.org from any smartphone (including the iPhone, Android and Blackberry) or tablet devices like the iPad, users will be able to quickly access information such as:

  •     Pricing for common bariatric procedures (Pricing for additional procedures will be coming soon.)

  •     Important phone numbers
  •     Locations and directions
  •     Patient and visitor information, including visiting hours
  •     Health information and news

“Use of mobile devices continues to rise at an unprecedented rate and access to healthcare information will rise with it,” said Mr. D’Agnes. “The patient experience begins at the point of access and for many of our patients, it will come from the mobile environment,” continued Mr. D’Agnes. “While patients can find pricing for bariatric procedures at this time, pricing for other services such as orthopedic surgery and MRI will be added in order to be fully transparent to our patients and community.”

The site features a user-friendly design and is focused on reliability and download speed.
