Select Italy Unveils New Russian-Language Platform

April 18, 2013

The Chicago-based company announced a fully functional web application that will allow Russian tourists to purchase Select Italy services online.

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) April 18, 2013

Select Italy proudly announces its full-servicing platform dedicated entirely to Russian-speaking clients and their needs. The new Russian Platform (http://www.selectitaly.ru) has been developed for the interest in traveling to Italy and Croatia demonstrated by the roughly 200 millions Russian-speakers worldwide – from countries such as Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Turkey and USA, to name a few – and in the services offered by the online based travel company.

This is the first development of a series of branches devoted entirely to meeting the linguistic, cultural, and travel needs of a new genre of clients, and to expand to provide the highest quality of travel to Italy to not only English speakers.

A native-speaking staff will support and offer the same individual client care to Russian-language travelers through emails and a dedicated call center that supports customers. The full-time staff, based in Europe and in Italy, has been trained to maintain the same high standard of customer service that has become a trademark for the Select Italy organization since 1997 and that was crucial in the inception of the appellative of Ultimate Source for travel to Italy.

“We are very excited about the launching of our new Russian platform selectitaly.ru, the first of our long-term global project aimed at entering new local markets,” says Andrea Sertoli, President and Founder of Select Italy. “Making us even more proud is that we have the platform supported by a Russian- and English-speaking desk office, that will be able to provide our Russian speaking clients the same level of our famously outstanding customer service.”

The new platform was officially launched on March 22nd, after a long lasting work of translation and localization to transform the previously available static Russian web page into a dynamic, fully functional website. Selectitaly.ru offers Select Italy´s most popular services to Russian-speaking clients such as tickets to the Last Supper and Vatican Museums, entrance to the Sistine Chapel, tickets for high-speed trains, reservations for a night at the most popular opera houses in Italy and more. These have been complemented with new services specifically targeted to the Russian market, in particular tours in the Russian language given by hand-selected guides, each who had to pass through a rigorous interview process that showed them fully knowledgeable of both Russian and Italian language and culture.

Other adjustments were engineered to meet the demands of the specific Russian market: dates were changed to the Russian format, times were rewritten to be on a military clock, and idiomatic wording was rewritten completely to reflect the same sentiment in Russian.
