Aquatic Treatments for Neurological Conditions Webinar Offered by HydroWorx and NRHA
To provide physical therapists with the latest real-world aquatic therapy solutions to treat neurological conditions, HydroWorx and NRHA are offering a free webinar on Thursday, May 2, 2013, from 1-2PM EST.
Middletown, PA (PRWEB) April 30, 2013
Neurological conditions can be notoriously challenging for physical therapists to treat. However, professionals in the field of aquatic therapy have found that creative, water-based treatments can offer hope for men, women and children. By maximizing the natural physical properties of water, physical therapists can see improvements in those under their care, even if land-based exercises are difficult or impossible for those same individuals.
In fact, researchers have found that those who have suffered from spinal cord injuries and other neurological issues can find incredible freedom in an aquatic environment. For many, that freedom serves as a gateway to help them re-learn land-based activities, which was the case for Brock, who suffered a T4 compaction fracture and was paralyzed as a result. After three months of treatment, Brock has achieved the ability to walk independently in the HydroWorx aquatic therapy pool at the Utah Neuroworx facility. Watch this neurological case study here
