“End of Shift: A Treasury of Real Stories by Real Nurses” available as free download in both e-reader and PDF formats.

Hoffman Estates, IL (PRWEB) May 06, 2013

Nurse.com, a publication of Gannett Healthcare Group, today announced the release of its first e-book, “End of Shift: A Treasury of Real Stories by Real Nurses.” The collection, which includes 30 inspiring and heartwarming stories written by nurses, is being released to coincide with National Nurses Week, May 6-12. The publication will be available throughout the week at Nurse.com as a free download in both e-reader and PDF formats.

The stories in this book reflect the diversity that defines nurses – the largest group of healthcare professionals, according to Nurse.com National Nurse Editor Jennifer Thew, RN, BSN, MSJ. While care settings change and clients´ needs differ, nurses are connected by universal truths when caring for their patients.

“We hope this treasury of touching first-person accounts inspires nurses in the work they do each day and fuels their passion for nursing,” Thew said. “These stories illustrate just how important nurses are and how great of an impact they can have on patients, families and each other.”

“This book is a celebration of nursing,” said Nurse.com CEO Melyni Serpa. “It´s our way of thanking nurses for their contributions. Nurses inspire us, and we are proud to work with them every day. Happy Nurses Week,” Serpa said.

National Nurses Week is a nationally recognized celebration of today´s nursing profession and the historic achievements of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. The weeklong celebration culminates May 12, Nightingale´s birthday.
