LONG BEACH, CA (PRWEB) May 24, 2013
American Career College (ACC), a leader in southern California’s health care education community, proudly participated in festivities surrounding the 2013 Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach on April 19-21. The event provided the perfect backdrop to introduce the community to the school’s new campus and facilities at 236 E. 3rd Street, housed in an architectural gem known to Long Beach locals as the Arts Building.
ACC was an active exhibitor throughout the weekend festivities. The college´s Massage Therapy students offered massages to race fans and passersby in return for donations to Shriners Hospitals for Children. The public’s donations were matched by CEO David Pyle, who remains committed to integrating American Career College into the communities it serves. The initiative ultimately raised $11,400, and a check was presented to Kelly Chang, Director of Community Outreach and Tawny Valencia, Development Assistant at Shriners Hospitals for Children.
David Pyle, Founder and CEO of ACC, looks forward to a long-lasting relationship between the school and its new Long Beach home: “For over 35 years, we have woven ourselves into the fabric of the Southern California health care community, and we embrace the opportunity to open our doors to the Long Beach community.”
The Toyota Long Beach Grand Prix is the longest running major “street” race held in North America. Other exhibitors at the world-renowned open-wheel racing event included Toyota, Banana Boat, Coca-Cola, Chevrolet, Honda, Firestone and the Los Angeles Times.
