Central Florida Plastic Surgeon and Fat Grafting Pioneer to Present at Berlin Conference
Bougainvillea Clinique director shares a new vision of the future of breast reconstruction using fat
WINTER PARK, Fla., May 29, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ — The International Society of Plastic Regenerative Surgey (ISPRS) invited Dr. Jeffrey Hartog, director of the Bougainvillea Clinique, to present at its Second Annual Congress in Berlin in June.
Hartog is a pioneer in the field of breast reconstruction using a fat grafting alternative to traditional breast reconstruction- no hospitalization required and 100 percent natural without adding breast implants. His work and research lead to recognition as one of the expert speakers at this year’s conference. This is Hartog’s second consecutive year speaking at the ISPRS conference.
Hartog’s topic, titled “The use of cryopreserved fat in staged reconstruction procedures of the breast,” will talk about the benefits of using banked fat in the fat grafting process. Hartog and the Bougainvillea Clinique are the first plastic surgery center in the United States to receive an FDA Registered fat bank – Liquid Gold Lipobank.
In his research, there have not been any noted complications incorporating this fat in the grafting process. Using banked fat simplifies fat grafting where there are several procedures required because it minimizes the need for repeated liposuction when grafting takes place.
“I’m very pleased to be speaking at the 2013 Congress. Fat grafting is a progressive procedure, and it’s the future of breast reconstruction and augmentation,” said Hartog.
ISPRS’s 2013 Congress will take place June 7-9 at the Steigenberger Hotel in Berlin. It is a highly sought-after event and more than 350 will attend. Last year’s conference, held in Rome, had 90 speakers and attendees from more than 50 countries.
The ISPRS’s goal is to educate plastic surgeons and clinicians on new technologies in fat grafting.
In addtion to attending and speaking at the ISPRS conference, Hartog will visit the facility of Dr. Gino Rigotti, who has more than 15 years of experience utilizing the fat grafting technique in Italy.
“To be given the opportunity to speak at the ISPRS conference and to be able to share and discuss industry topics and trends with some of the most elit doctos in the profession is an exceptional opportunity for me and my patients at the Bougainvillea Clinique,” Hartog said.
The Bougainvillea Clinique is the only clinic in Central Florida using the FDA-approved fat-targeting, liquefying technology called HyrdraSolve Lipoplasty System from Andrew Technologies as well as participating in an FDA study utilizing fat grafting with a breast enlargement device.
