Prairie Living at Chautauqua, a BMA affordable assisted living community, is hosting a talk on the Ten Commandments by Dr. Sam Goldman, former chancellor of Southern Illinois University, at 10 .m. on Thursday, June 6.
The community, which is located at 955 Villa Ct. in Carbondale, Illinois, serves older adults of all incomes, including those on Medicaid, who need some help to maintain their independence.
Dr. Goldman will be speaking on How God Delivered the Ten Commandments to Moses, says Heather Laughland-Etherton, Administrator of Prairie Living. He will be discussing the topic from the vantage points of the Jewish and Christian faiths.
A discussion and a question and answer session will follow his presentation, which is open to the public. There is no cost to attend.
