The new Suunto Quest GPS watch is light at 1.5 ounces and makes the ideal watch for runners trying to keep the weight on the wrist less, says the Heart Rate Watch Company.

The new Suunto Quest GPS watch is a great fit for runners according to the Heart Rate Watch Company.

GPS De-Integration Makes Sense for Runner
Taking the GPS out of the watch and placing it in a small, 1.2 ounce sensor that is carried as static weight has significantly less impact than putting that weight on the wrist according to Squire. “The difference between static weight and weight you have to move repetitiously is significant, especially for runners,” says Squire.
“For sports like cycling, where the watch weight is static on the handlebars, an extra ounce or two means absolutely nothing, but for running or cross-country skiing where the arms are very active, it does indeed matter,” says Squire.
Suunto Quest is a nice watch and has advanced heart rate features offers distance, pacing, calories and works with Suunto Movescount software. The new Suunto GPS Track Pod is very light and records all speed, distance and map data fro your workouts.
“This is one of the better running watch setups and works great for men or women because the watch unit is so light,” says Squire. He adds, “The watch uses a normal lithium coin cell battery that lasts for months so no frequent recharging is required.”
