BMA Affordable Assisted Living in Chicago to Host Barbecue in Honor of Fathers

Heritage Woods of Chicago, a BMA Management affordable assisted living community, is hosting a Barbecue in honor of fathers of June 18. The community on Chicago’s west side serves low-income seniors, including those on Medicaid, who need some help to maintain their independence.

Heritage Woods of Chicago, a BMA affordable assisted living community, is hosting a Barbeque Party in in honor of fathers from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18.

The community, which is located at 2800 W. Fulton St. in Chicago, Illinois, serves low-income older adults, including those on Medicaid, who need some help to maintain their independence.

“Come and enjoy a delicious barbecue as we salute the men who hold a special place in our hearts,” says Cindy Gladney, Director of Marketing for Heritage Woods of Chicago.

“A disc jockey will be in charge of the music and taking requests from those in attendance, and fathers who are 65 and older will receive a special gift,” says Gladney.

Tours of Heritage Woods will be available.

Heritage Woods is certified to operate through the Illinois Supportive Living program and managed by BMA Management, Ltd., the largest provider of assisted living in Illinois.

The community combines residential apartment-home living with the availability of personal assistance, help with medications, and a variety of convenience and support services.

Residents live in private apartments that include a kitchenette and emergency alert system.

Certified nursing assistants, working under the direction of a licensed nurse, are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. All three meals each day, housekeeping and laundry are among the included services.

“Residents also benefit from all of the opportunities that are available to socialize with friends and neighbors and participate in activities, including our senior fitness classes and our line dancing and zumba programs,” says Gladney.

Based in Bradley, Illinois, BMA Management operates 36 senior living communities that together house nearly 3,400 homes and apartments.
