Naperville, IL (PRWEB) August 29, 2013

ParentMagic Inc, creator of 1-2-3 Magic Parenting, is hosting a seminar by Dr. Thomas Phelan on tantrums. The 90 minute seminar will review in detail how to effectively navigate the experience of a tantruming child. With 90 minutes devoted to the topic, the seminar goes into more depth than the 1-2-3 Magic series can.

During the seminar parents will learn the 3 main causes of tantrums. They will also cover what the main goals of a tantruming child are. Understanding the tantrum is just one goal of the program, it is also designed to help parents better handle their child in the middle of a tantrum.

Parents often express anxiety over having their children tantrum in public. Dr. Phelan will review the best ways to handle a public tantrum. To help parents walk out with actionable knowledge, Dr. Phelan breaks down response ideas like "the 10 second rule" and gives a 4 step process for tantrum management/prevention.

The 90 minute seminar will be turned into products purchasable by parents outside of the Chicago land area later this year. The seminar is August 29, 2013 and is $5. It will be held at the Chicago Marriott Naperville. 1-2-3 Magic is the best selling discipline book in America, with over 1.4 million copies sold in 25 years. Written by Dr. Thomas Phelan who is also giving the tantrum seminar.
