Missy Midden, a TV journalist and media producer, recently joined Omega3 Innovations as the company’s in-house video producer and editor.
Midden – who previously worked as an anchor and news reporter for an NBC affiliate in Shreveport, LA – will be creating the company’s first video series, focusing on answering questions about omega-3 fish oil and Omega3 Innovation products.
“There is so much research and scientific knowledge that goes into creating each of our products,” says Dr. Bo Martinsen, co-founder of Omega3 Innovations. “We want to make sure crucial information – such as the importance taking fresh omega-3 fish oil – gets to our customers.”
“What better way to communicate than video,” Martinsen added.
Besides working as a TV journalist, Midden also produced a family show for TV52 in Orlando and was the associate producer for the VH1 show, My Big Fat Fabulous Wedding. She has also worked on several shows for the Travel Channel, including Sand Wars, and produced professional tourism videos for the State of Florida’s official website: http://www.visitflorida.com.
“We are very happy to have Missy join us,” says fellow co-founder Dr. Anne-Marie Chalmers. “She brings a wealth of experience in both producing and editing video. It is critical for us to have a team member who can craft videos designed to broaden our market reach.”
Aside from addressing questions about omega-3, new videos will also document customer testimonials. Martinsen says videos are a useful creative tool to showcase customers’ feedback.
"It is exciting to see our customers’ candid response to using our products," Martinsen says.
