Heritage Woods of Freeport Affordable Assisted Living Community to Host Flu Shot Clinic

Heritage Woods of Freeport, a BMA affordable assisted living community, will host a flu shot clinic on Oct. 8. The community is located in Stephenson County, Illinois and serves seniors of all incomes including those on Medicaid.

Heritage Woods of Freeport, a BMA affordable assisted living community, is partnering with the Stephenson County Health Department to offer a flu shot clinic from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Oct. 8.

The community, which is located at 1500 S. Forest Road in Freeport, Illinois, serves older adults of all incomes including those on Medicaid who need some help to maintain their independence.

Medicare, private insurance and cash payments ($25) will be accepted.

“Don’t let flu season catch you off guard. Stop by Heritage Woods on Oct. 8 to get your flu shot early,” said Michelle Stubbe, Director of Marketing for the community.

Heritage Woods of Freeport features 76 studio and one-bedroom apartments. Each unit includes a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars and an emergency response system.

Certified nursing assistants will be on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide residents with personal assistance and help with medications. Meals, housekeeping and laundry are among the provided services.

The community is fully certified to operate through the Illinois Supportive Living program and managed by BMA Management, which is the largest provider of assisted living in Illinois.

BMA Management is based in Bradley, Illinois.

The assisted living communities managed by BMA include Heritage Woods of Belvidere, Heritage Woods of Rockford and Heritage Woods of Sterling.
