Industry Innovator to Lead Healthcare Strategy for RAZR Marketing

Optum Health co-founder Phil Dell has joined RAZR Marketing as vice president of healthcare strategies for the organization’s RAZR Healthcare division.

Phil Dell has joined RAZR Marketing as vice president of healthcare strategies for the organization’s RAZR Healthcare division. In this role, Dell will expand RAZR’s healthcare initiatives, creating new and innovative solutions that inspire consumers to take ownership of their health and well-being, motivate them to transform their behavior and enable them to enjoy healthier and more fulfilling lives.

Dell is best known as co-founder of Optum, the nationally-known organization that established the healthcare member assistance program industry. During his tenure with Optum, he created and led Optum New Media and conceptualized its online application, Optum Health Forums, which earned national awards for its efforts to better educate consumers on vital health and wellness topics.

In addition to start-up ventures, Dell led the rejuvenation of organizations such as MEDEX Global Group and Evercare Connections. Prior to Optum, he led the sales and marketing function at Employee Advisory Resource, which became Ceridian, and served as lead account manager for StayWell, one of the nation’s first health/well-being companies. Dell’s positions have included consultant, sales leader, marketing leader, client relations leader, product leader, vice president, senior vice president, general manager and president/CEO.
