Land of Lincoln Health Proud to Offer Health Insurance Plans for SBAC’s Members Through the SBAC Private Exchange
CHICAGO, Oct. 29, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — Land of Lincoln Health(TM), the only consumer operated and oriented health insurance plan (CO-OP) in Illinois, has signed the Small Business Advocacy Council (SBAC) as its first small group plan. It also will be the exclusive provider of health insurance plans on SBAC’s private exchange for the Council’s nearly 800 members.

As a result of the federal Affordable Care Act, small businesses now have access to affordable health insurance plans through the health insurance “marketplace,” which provides expanded coverage options at lower costs, often with the help small business tax credits. Land of Lincoln Health is one of only two health insurance companies in Illinois offering plans to small businesses through the marketplace and is only one of two companies providing coverage throughout the entire state.
