Texas Children’s Hospital West Campus welcomes two new surgeons providing additional orthopedic and plastic surgery support to the community

HOUSTON, Nov. 1, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — Texas Children’s Hospital West Campus is excited to announce two new members to its surgical team: pediatric orthopedic surgeon Dr. Jaclyn Hill and plastic surgeon Dr. Edward Lee. Texas Children’s Hospital West Campus is Houston’s first community hospital designed, built and equipped exclusively for children. Dr. Jaclyn Hill
Hill, who also serves as assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM), received an undergraduate degree at Princeton University. She earned her medical degree from BCM and went on to complete her residency at Harvard University and completed her pediatric orthopedic fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital.

Hill’s clinical interests include lower extremity deformity, congenital deficiencies, clubfoot and the prenatal diagnosis of orthopedic problems. Her research interests include gender issues in orthopedic surgery and applications of circular external fixation in pediatric orthopedic trauma. Hill is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Orthopedics, as well as the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. She is excited to join the Texas Children’s team and work with the diverse patient population and impressive staff.

Dr. Edward Lee
Lee, who also serves as assistant professor of surgery, division of plastic and reconstructive surgery at BCM, received an undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California. He earned his medical degree from BCM where he went on to complete his plastic surgery residency, as well as his fellowship in pediatric plastic surgery.

Lee’s clinical interests include comprehensive cleft care, ear deformities, vascular anomalies and occuloplastic surgery. His research interests include surgical outcomes for pediatric and craniofacial patients, as well as wound healing and scar maturation.

Lee says he feels fortunate to be joining the Texas Children’s team, working closely with an organization and people dedicated to providing excellence in patient care, education and research.
