Veterans Get Drug Rehab Help At Narconon Freedom Center Michigan

December 23, 2013

Veterans get special holiday drug rehab help at Narconon Freedom Center in Michigan as 22 are committing suicide every day.

Albion, MI (PRWEB) December 23, 2013

Veterans get additional holiday alcohol and drug rehabilitation help from Narconon Freedom Center. For the holidays, the center is offering 50% off the cost of their alcohol and drug rehab program to any veteran as a thank you for all they have sacrificed and contributed to our country.

The facility is responding to the news CBS (cbsnews.com/news/veterans-dying-from-overmedication/) broke reporting Veterans dying from taking their VA doctor ordered prescriptions of pain killers and medications and February’s alarming VA report (va.gov/opa/docs/Suicide-Data-Report-2012-final.pdf) that in 2010 an estimated 22 Veterans were taking their own lives every day. The number is likely more but is hard to confirm. If a veteran intentionally crashes a car or dies of a drug overdose and leaves no note, that death may not be counted as suicide.

CBS reported that Congress started a probe into veterans’ prescription drug overdose deaths that resulted in a House subcommittee holding a hearing into the problem. Department of Veterans Affairs physicians told the subcommittee that hospital administrators regularly pressured them to prescribe highly addictive narcotic painkillers to patients, even those they had not personally examined.

“We have been fighting the prescription drug epidemic helping student after student recover from an addiction that started when a doctor prescribed an opiate pain killer like oxycodone. Additionally, one of the side effects of taking drugs is depression and we are shocked at what is occurring with our veterans. We want to contribute to turning this scene around. This is why we are reaching out to these men and women and making this offer,” says John Walser, Narconon Freedom Centers Senior Intake Counselor and a veteran himself.

For more information, Veterans and their families may call an Intake Counselor today toll-free at 877-362-9682 or visit http://www.freedomdrugrehab.com. All calls are free of charge and confidential.

The Narconon Program is a long-term residential holistic, drug-free rehabilitation program where one drug is not substituted for another in the recovery process.
