DxMA Elects New Leaders to Serve in 2014 and 2015

The Diagnostics Marketing Association (DxMA) is pleased to announce the election of officers for 2014 and 2015.

The Diagnostics Marketing Association (DxMA) is pleased to announce the election of officers for 2014 and 2015.

Peggy Robinson will serve a two-year term as President, while Lawrence Worden will serve a two-year term as President-Elect. Additionally, Karen Alvarado will serve as Treasurer and Ned Gordon as Secretary.

By providing industry knowledge, professional development and a venue for the exchange of ideas, the DxMA will continue to help build the diagnostic industry leadership required for that success.”

Ms. Robinson is the Principal of BioMark Consulting, LLC, a boutique consulting firm focused on business strategies, marketing, strategic alliances, KOL and product development of new technologies, with an emphasis on cancer diagnostics and companion diagnostics. As an accomplished Senior Marketing Executive with over 20 years of experience in diagnostic global marketing, Peggy has served in various marketing, marketing communications, market development, strategic alliances, sales and technical service roles in diagnostics, molecular, life sciences and CROs with such companies as Chiron, Bayer Diagnostics, Covance, EMD Millipore, Immunicon, and Veridex, a Johnson and Johnson company.

Mr. Worden has over 30 years of experience in the field of medical/scientific market research with a primary focus on In Vitro Diagnostics. As co-founder of Market Diagnostics International (MDxI), he consults with clients in the design and implementation of international market research studies and helps clients integrate these findings into their organizational goals and objectives. Prior to MDxI, he was a senior consultant and co-founder at CaseBauer & Associates, an international business development and research firm exclusively focused on IVD, and also held marketing and research positions with Becton Dickinson and Company, AdvaMed, Luning Prak Associates, and IMS Health.

Ms. Alvarado is a successful Marketing and Sales leader with a breadth of experience in the In Vitro Diagnostic and clinical laboratory industries. She has a proven track record in organizations such as Sequenom, Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics, Diagnostic Products Corporation, Hybritech and Technicon, where she used her expertise to create highly effective marketing teams that developed new markets, launched products and revitalized current products through strong customer focus. She is currently the Principal of KAESA Consulting, a firm that assists clients on issues of business development, planning, strategy and marketing. Additionally, she holds a position as Career Coach at Lee Hecht Harrison, a global talent development leader.

Mr. Gordon has over 20 years of marketing experience and is currently Senior Director of Global Marketing at Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics. In this position, Ned is responsible for managing the product life cycle of next generation Point of Care platforms and whitespace opportunities. Prior to his work at Siemens, he held positions at Mettler Toldeo, Inc. and Rohm and Haas Company.
