Nucleus Medical Media offers no-charge informational medical animations in recognition of May 2014 as Skin Cancer Detection and Prevention Month.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services says, “Skin cancer is the most common type of cancer in the United States. Ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun is the main cause of skin cancer. UV radiation can also come from tanning booths or sunlamps. The most dangerous kind of skin cancer is called melanoma.”

Fortunately, skin cancer can almost always be cured if it’s found and treated early. This is why Skin Cancer Detection and Prevention Month is so important.
