COLUMBUS, Ohio (PRWEB) May 01, 2014

Three Ohio Presbyterian Retirement Services health care centers earn five-star ratings in "U.S. News & World Report's" Best Nursing Homes of 2014.

Llanfair Retirement Community (The Living Center) Mount Pleasant Retirement Village (Health Care Center) and Swan Creek Retirement Village (Health Care Center) were recognized in the nation's finest based on health inspections, nurse staffing and quality of care.

Swan Creek Retirement Village's Health Care Center also earned the same five-star ranking in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013. Llanfair earned the same top ranking in 2013.

Part of Ohio Presbyterian Retirement Services' (OPRS) continuing care retirement communities, the nursing centers provide short and long term care, rehabilitation and memory support.

"U.S. News" ranked more than 15,000 nursing homes for the study — only 21 percent of Ohio's homes received the same five-star rating as OPRS' centers.

"To have three OPRS nursing centers receive five stars — the federal government's top ranking — it's clear our team puts caring for residents first," says Connie Tostevin, vice president of nursing services and clinical operations.

"This report guides families toward the best options, but a visit will give you a real sense of and feel for our communities — our reputation for excellence, our loving staff, our innovation," says OPRS Communities President Daniel J. O'Connor.

Llanfair, in Cincinnati, has been helping older adults age successfully since 1957. Mount Pleasant, in Monroe, Ohio, has been offering southwest Ohio's older adults enhanced opportunities for health and life fulfillment since 1953. Swan Creek, in Toledo, has been offering Lucas County's seniors a variety of living options since 1989.
