Emi-Jay Inc., sold in over 3,000 retailers domestically, just partnered with Children's Hospital Los Angeles committing to donate a significant portion of their profits each year for the next five years to the hospital.

Founders of Emi-Jay Inc., Julianne Goldmark and Emily Matson, who started their thriving affordable luxury hair accessory business as adolescents, continue on their commitment to giving back to children in their native Los Angeles. The entrepreneurial duo just partnered with Children's Hospital Los Angeles. Emi-Jay Inc., sold in over 3,000 retailers domestically, will donate a significant portion of their profits each year for the next five years to the hospital.
Matson says, “Social philanthropy has always been at the core of our business since the company's inception in 2008.” Goldmark adds, “We believe in giving back and donate 20 percent of all Emi-Jay profits to local and national charities. We’re humbled to partner with Children’s Hospital to support them with their overall efforts and to benefit two of their highly regarded programs for children and adolescents.”
Emi-Jay’s donations will directly aid the hospital’s Girl Talk Psychosocial Program and the Homeless Adolescent and Young Adult Wellness Center. Girl Talk provides highly specialized courses to promote confidence and positive self-imaging for female adolescents with physical abnormalities. The program also calls upon creativity and the arts ending with a celebratory fashion show where the girls model outfits with the poise and confidence they learned from the courses. The hospital’s Homeless Adolescent and Young Adult Wellness Center provides free comprehensive care, counseling and case management services for runaway and homeless youth.
“We are so appreciative of Emi-Jay’s generous donation, which will allow us to provide over the next five years the much needed support to children born with facial differences and their families,” says psychologist Alexis Johns, PhD. “Children seen in Plastic Surgery at Children’s Hospital often have to overcome a wide range of unique challenges beyond their surgeries and medical treatment. The support group programs offer the opportunity to learn social and coping skills specific to their needs with a peer group that really understands each other. Close to 200 families will benefit from these programs in the next five years with the support provided by Emi-Jay.”
