RESOLVE New England to Host a Massachusetts State Advocacy Day to Raise Awareness of the Disease of Infertility
BOSTON, June 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Since 1987, Massachusetts has led the New England region with its comprehensive legislative mandate that requires insurance coverage for the diagnosis and treatment of infertility. On June 11, 2014, RESOLVE New England will host a Massachusetts State Advocacy Day that will celebrate the advances in reproductive technology and health coverage that have helped create tens of thousands of new families in Massachusetts.
The State Advocacy Day will bring together doctors, elected officials, families affected by infertility and all parties interested both in learning more and helping to educate others about infertility, which affects one in eight couples in the U.S.
Following an opening program, participants will meet with their elected state officials to encourage them to continue to support family-friendly legislation even amidst the changing healthcare landscape.
