Oct. 23–Altru Health System’s current outpatient center in East Grand Forks will be moving to a new location next week and adding additional services.

The current outpatient facility in East Grand Station in East Grand Forks will be open through Thursday and will reopen Monday in an upper-level suite at 411 Second St. N.W.

At about 3,300 square feet, the new location will be double the size of the current facility. The new outpatient center will offer expanded physical therapy as well as occupational, speech and hand therapy, services that are not offered at the current facility.

“We are outgrowing our current location, and we want to expand our offerings,” said Jill Wilson, interim outreach manager at Altru Health System. “We feel great about being able to increase our size and services.”

The new location will be able to accommodate between eight and nine patients at a time, about twice as many at one time as the current clinic, which opened about four years ago, Wilson said.

Altru added outpatient services in Thief River Falls last month and, in the past six months, also has added outpatient clinics in Devils Lake, Larimore, N.D., and Lakota, N.D.

“We are very excited to be able to take Altru’s programs and bring them out to the region,” Wilson said.
