Cooking Class for Disabled Set
A cooking class for people with physical disabilities and their caregivers will be presented at no cost from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 5, by registered dietitians from Memorial Medical Center and the therapy staff of Memorial’s Regional Rehabilitation Center. It will be held in Room G10/10a, across from the cafeteria, at Memorial Medical Center.
The class will cover adaptive equipment that can be used for better independence in the kitchen, techniques to help with cognitive issues that interfere with food preparation, simple recipes, healthful food choices and kitchen safety.
Attendees may bring their favorite recipes so dietitians can suggest healthful adaptations.
Seating is limited, and registration is required. To register, call Lisa Cline at 788-3461.
