Clinics Added for Flu Shots

Oct. 26–The Oklahoma City-County Health Department has scheduled 11 additional clinics for free influenza immunizations.
About 2,600 flu shots have been given so far, spokesman H.R. Holman said, adding the department has sufficient doses of the vaccine and will buy more if needed.
The countywide flu-immunization clinics are open to the public. Shots are available for anyone who is at least 6 months old.

— Thursday: Latino Community Center, 420 SW 10, 8:30 a.m. to noon.
— Nov. 5: First Baptist Church of Bethany, 3800 N Mueller Ave., 8:30 to 11 a.m.
— Nov. 6: Caring Van, Shepherd Mall, NW 23 and Villa Avenue, 8:30 a.m. to noon.
— Nov. 8: City Rescue Mission, 800 W California Ave., 8:30 a.m. to noon.
— Nov. 9: Rominger Community Center, 3450 SW 29, 8:30 to 11 a.m.
— Nov. 13: Midwest City Weed & Seed, 9233 NE 10, 8:30 to 11 a.m.
— Nov. 14: Holy Temple Baptist Church, 1540 NE 50, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
— Nov. 15: Latino Community Center, 420 SW 10, 8:30 a.m. to noon.
— Nov. 19: Reaching Our City, 7710 NW 10, 1 to 4 p.m.
— Nov. 21: Midwest City Weed & Seed, 9233 NE 10, 1 to 4 p.m.
— Nov. 26: Edmond Church of Christ, 801 S Bryant, 8:30 to 11 a.m.
Daily immunizations
Individuals in Oklahoma County also may come to the health department’s headquarters, 921 NE 23.
Immunizations are given from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, except Wednesdays, when clinics take place from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
