ImPART GROUP Joins Alvarez & Marsal Healthcare Industry Group

Alvarez & Marsal Healthcare Industry Group, a division of leading global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M), and ImPART GROUP, a strategic healthcare consultancy, have merged to form Alvarez & Marsal ImPART GROUP. The combined organization will be led by managing director and A&M Healthcare Industry Group head Guy Sansone and ImPART co-founders Jim Callanan and Stuart McLean, who have been named managing directors. Brian Dealy and Kathleen Murphy, each formerly a principal of ImPART, have been named senior directors.

Mr. Callanan, a co-founder of ImPART GROUP, is based in Boston. He previously spent 20 years with Deloitte Consulting and, as a partner, held a variety of leadership positions, including national partner-in-charge of managed care services and Eastern region healthcare leader. Before that he was with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. He received a bachelor's degree in economics from Columbia College and a master's degree in business administration, with a concentration in finance, from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. McLean is based in New York. Prior to co-founding ImPART GROUP with Mr. Callanan, he served in a number of leadership roles at North Shore-LIJ Health System in New York. Over the course of his tenure, the health system grew from $500 million to more than $2 billion in revenue. Earlier in his career he was a consultant with Deloitte and an engineer with Honeywell's Advanced Engineering Program. Mr. McLean holds a bachelor's degree in computer sciences from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a master's degree in business administration, with concentrations in strategy and finance, from the University of Michigan.
Mr. Dealy, who is based in Boston, was formerly a principal of ImPART GROUP. He previously spent 17 years as CFO with two Academic Medical Centers: St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, Boston, MA and Boston Medical Center. Before that, he spent nine years as CFO of three Massachusetts community and community teaching hospitals. Mr. Dealy holds a bachelor's degree in accounting and a master's degree in business administration, with a concentration in finance, from Northeastern University. He holds a Fellow of Healthcare Financial Management Association (FHFMA), Certified Management Patient Accounting (CMPA) designations and completed the HFMA Certified Physician Practices Management specialty exam, served as president of the Massachusetts Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and on the HFMA National Matrix.
Ms. Murphy, who is based in New York, was also formerly a principal of ImPART GROUP. Before entering the consulting field, she was president/COO at DDS Partners, LLC, a start-up venture in the dental practice management industry and served as COO of Physician Services/Management Services Organization, a division of the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System, a major New York-based integrated delivery system. Ms. Murphy received a bachelor's degree in human resource management from the State University of New York at Old Westbury.
