MetroPlus Health Plan Expands Agreement With DST Health Solutions to Include Core Claims Engine, Software Applications

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Oct. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- DST Health Solutions announced that MetroPlus Health Plan, Inc., has extended its contract for the company's core claims engine, PowerSTEPP(R), via an application service provider (ASP) delivery model. PowerSTEPP is an enterprise-level software solution that will help MetroPlus administer, manage and deliver healthcare benefits and services. MetroPlus also selected DST Health Solutions' medical utilization management, Internet and decision support applications. Terms were not disclosed.
DST Health Solutions, a leading provider of systems and services to the health payer market, was awarded this contract through a competitive bid process. The company will provide MetroPlus with InfoSTEPP(TM) decision support software; CareSTEPP(TM) medical utilization and ePower(R), an integrated Web-based customer self-service application.
