Ombudsmen Training to Be Held

Training for volunteer ombudsmen in nursing homes will be from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, at the Illinois Retired Teachers Association, 620 N. Walnut St.

The training is provided by Illinois Community Advocates for Residents’ Empowerment.

Volunteers visit long-term care facility residents to inform them of their rights and help resolve problems.
