Datebook Meals Clubs

SPAGHETTI/AUCTION: The youth group of Redeemer Lutheran Church, 500 Pearl St., will host a silent auction and spaghetti and meatball dinner from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10.

Cost of the dinner is $5 for adults and $3 for children 8 and under. Dinner includes salad, bread, dessert and a drink.

Winning auction bidders will be announced at 7:30 p.m.

Proceeds will benefit the summer missions and retreats for the youth group.

GARDEN: The Men’s Garden Club of Lancaster will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, at Salem United Church of Christ of Rohrerstown, 2312 Marietta Ave.

Andrew Bunting, curator of Scott Arboretum at Swarthmore College, will present “Ornamental Vines.”

BREAKFAST: The Rise and Shine Breakfast Club for seniors will meet at 8 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12, in ambulance conference room B of Ephrata Community Hospital, 169 Martin Ave., Ephrata.

Joan Groh from Hospice of Lancaster County, will present “Reflections” starting at 8:30 a.m.

Cost is $2.50 for breakfast, served in the hospital’s cafeteria. For more information or to make reservations, call 336-6578.

WALKING: The Early Birds, Ephrata Community Hospital’s walking club for senior citizens, will meet at 7 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12, for a guided walk and breakfast at the hospital, 169 Martin Ave., Ephrata.

Membership costs $25 per year and the first walk is offered free of charge. New participants must contact their doctors and the hospital’s Wellness Center before coming out to walk.
