AseraCare Home Health Expands Through Acquisition of 11 Home Health Corporation of America Agencies

FORT SMITH, Ark., Nov. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- AseraCare Home Health announced today that it has completed the acquisition of 11 Home Health Corporation of America (HHCA) agencies in Florida. HHCA also has seven agencies in the mid- Atlantic region, which they will retain and continue to operate.
HHCA is a large and well-respected Medicare-Certified home health agency based in Pennsylvania. HHCA has specialty skilled nursing programs in cardiac, diabetic, pulmonary and orthopedic conditions, including a large therapy practice. They are certified by the Joint Commission, which is one of the industry's highest quality designations.
Because of the market presence and name recognition of HHCA in Florida, the HHCA agencies initially will continue to operate under their existing name.
