Nov. 18–Banks and credit unions: Closed Thursday. Some banks may close early Wednesday; check with individual banks.
Buses (Metro Transit): Running on Sunday schedule for Thursday.
City offices: Closed Thursday and Friday.
County offices: Most closed Monday-Friday; check with individual offices for hours.
State offices: Closed Thursday. Federal offices: Closed Thursday. Libraries: All Pikes Peak District Library Branches close at 6 p.m. Wednesday and remain closed Thursday.
Post office: Closed and no mail service Thursday.
Public schools: Closed Thursday. Check with school districts for other days closed during the holiday week.
The Gazette: Closed Thursday.
The Citadel mall: Closed Thursday; open 8 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday.
Chapel Hills Mall: Closed Thursday; open 6 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday.
Major grocery stores open Thursday with shortened hours. Check with stores for hours.
Kmart: Open Thursday with shortened hours; check with individual stores for hours.
Wal-Mart: Open regular hours Thursday.
Target: Closed Thursday.

Services: Represents the interests of the Board of County Commissioners, its various administrative departments and appointed advisory boards and other county elected officials, and handles certain social services matters and mental health and commitment proceedings.

Services: Road and bridge maintenance, snow removal in unincorporated El Paso County.
Parks and Leisure Services, 2002 Creek Crossing Colorado, 520-7529
Services: Manages regional parks, trails, picnic pavilions and tennis courts.
Environmental Services, 2880 International Circle Suite 110, 520-7656
Services: Noxious weed management, solid waste management.
Development Services, 2880 International Circle, 520-6300
Services: Engineering of drainage and transportation projects, planning, zoning, subdivision and development of property in the unincorporated area of the county, code enforcement.
Note: Development Services will be open Nov. 20 for a previously scheduled Planning Commission meeting.

Services: Education programs, including food and nutrition, 4-H and gardening.
Clerk & Recorder’s Office on the north side of Chapel Hills Mall will be closed Nov. 19-23 and 26 and Dec. 3, 10, 17, and 24-28.
Offices at 200 S. Cascade Ave. and 5650 Industrial Place on the southeast corner of Powers Boulevard and Airport Road will be closed Nov. 19-23 and 30 and Dec. 7, 14, 21 and 24-28. On days Clerk & Recorder offices are open, hours will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call the main line at 520-6216 with questions.
