Less than a year since it launched, RevolutionHealth.com has been awarded Best Overall Health Internet Site by the eHealthcare Leadership Awards. RevolutionHealth.com has also taken home high honors for Best Health Content and Best Site Design. The site, which formally launched in April of this year, is the cornerstone of Revolution Health Networks, one of the most trafficked health destinations on the Internet.
Revolution Health was created by founder and CEO Steve Case to transform how people engage in and manage their overall health and wellness. The award-winning RevolutionHealth.com combines expert content, more than 125 interactive tools and online assessments with social networking to help people make easier, more informed health care decisions.
"These awards are an unbelievable honor, and they are tributes to the hard work and dedication of Revolution Health's employees," said Tim Davenport, president of Revolution Health Networks. "It is such a testament that in our first year live we have already achieved such significant recognition. But the category is growing every day, and we know that our users are relying on RevolutionHealth.com to continue to innovate and deliver the trusted information and resources that help them live their very best."
An independent panel of individuals familiar with health care and the Internet evaluated each entry based on a standard of Internet excellence and in comparison to other organizations in their group classification. Factors included delivery of strong health content, interactivity, medical care support, integration with the organization's operations, as well as strength of web design and ease of navigation. Winners were selected from more than 1,100 total entries.
"There are clear and unmistakable signs that interest in the web and emerging technologies is hot," said Mark Gothberg, eHealthcare Leadership awards chairman. "The 2007 awards program attracted a huge number of entries from a wide variety of health care organizations."
The eHealthcare Leadership Awards program has been in place for eight years and is presented by eHealthcare Strategy & Trend. There were 12 different award categories, with participating organizations entering under one of 17 classifications to compete against others of comparable type, size and resources.
