SynerMed Insurance Services Expands to Offer Additional Benefits, Enhanced Customer Service Throughout Southern California and Georgia

SynerMed, Inc., the largest Medicaid managed service organization (MSO) in the state of California, today announced the availability of its insurance offering, SynerMed Insurance Services, for new and existing customers throughout several counties in Southern California and Georgia. The announcement is particularly timely as the 2008 Medicare open enrollment period began Nov. 15, 2007.

SynerMed Insurance Services is a comprehensive system comprised of a dedicated team of licensed insurance brokers with extensive Medicare and Medi-Cal experience. In addition to multilingual customer service with specialized training, providers will realize enhanced benefits, including the ability to identify and evaluate potential patient candidates for managed care benefit programs, and new ways to grow and retain membership through Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)-compliant senior outreach and grassroots marketing efforts.

In addition to personalized ongoing communication, patients will realize direct enhancements through the managed care benefit programs, including transportation vouchers for medical appointments and worldwide coverage. Currently these options are not available through any other program.
