PacifiCare Licenses IHCIS Benchmarks for Online Consumer-Driven Health Care Cost Service

Integrated Health Care Information Services, Inc. (IHCIS), announced that PacifiCare Health Systems Inc. (NYSE: PHS) has licensed IHCIS' financial planning data for use in PacifiCare's new Web offerings.
PacifiCare's online tool, the Health care Cost Estimator, provides cost information for 200 of the most common diseases, conditions and medical procedures.
The portal's benchmarks were developed using the IHCIS National Managed Care Benchmark Database, one of the health care industry's most comprehensive databases of its kind, which includes de-identified health care data of more than 30 million individuals.
