HealthTrans Appoints Lois Mastin As VP of Clinical Operations and Pharmacy Services

Lois Mastin, R.Ph., has joined HealthTrans as vice president, clinical operations and pharmacy services where she is responsible for overseeing strategic and tactical planning for HealthTrans' clinical services. Bringing nearly 20 years of experience in pharmacy benefits management and clinical services, she also is responsible for overseeing the company's P&T Committee and serves as the chair for the HealthTrans Economic Assessment Committee.

Prior to joining HealthTrans, Mastin was director of clinical operations for RxAmerica where she developed policies and procedures for the Medicare Part D and commercial prior authorization processes. She also developed the medication therapy management program for RxAmerica's Part D offering.

Founder of Nexgen Pharmacy Benefits Management, Inc., she has held numerous positions in the pharmaceutical and retail industries in sales, business development and consulting including Solvay Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Managed Care Strategies. She is a member of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy.
