Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare Holds Infant-Toddler Mental Health Symposium
HARRISBURG, Pa., Dec. 11 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare Secretary Estelle Richman will convene leaders in mental health, early education and child development at DPW’s first Infant-Toddler Mental Health Symposium, Dec. 13-14, at the Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel, 107 Sixth St., Pittsburgh.
“The social and emotional health of young children, while too often overlooked, directly impacts their overall development and future success in school and in life,” said Richman. “By gathering national experts and Pennsylvania leaders, we will be able to take steps toward developing successful strategies that promote the healthy social and emotional development of our youngest citizens.”
In addition to Richman, symposium speakers will include representatives of the Department of Public Welfare’s Office of Child Development and Early Learning, Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, and Office of Medical Assistance Programs, as well as key leaders from ZERO TO THREE and the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
