See the world

More than 300 unique nativity sets from around the world are on display in the Festival of the Nativities, noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Dec. 23 at Centenary United Methodist Church, 4th and Elm, Lawrence. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted. Information:

Coming home

The Lawrence Chamber Orchestra’s Home for the Holidays concert is at 2 p.m. Dec. 23 at the Lawrence Arts Center, 940 New Hampshire. Tickets are $13 for adults, $10 for seniors, $8 for students, $25 for family (two adults, two children). Information: (785) 218-3403.

Ho, ho, ho

Santa Claus will be at the Great Overland Station, 701 N. Kansas Ave. in Topeka, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. along with the exhibit “A Coca- Cola Christmas.” Hours: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission: $4 for adults, $3 for seniors and military, $2 for children. The exhibit continues through Jan. 12.

Holiday fantasy

Flying reindeer may be magical, but the creatures in “Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy” bring the exotic to the holiday season. The show is at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Topeka Performing Arts Center, 214 S.E. 8th. Tickets are $49.50, $42, $34.50 and $27 and can be purchased through Ticketmaster.

Advent

Trinity Lutheran Church, 1245 New Hampshire in Lawrence, will present an Advent Tuesday Noonday Organ Recital from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. Tuesday. The recital by Sunny Sun, organist at St. Lawrence Catholic Center, will include poetry. Information:
