Mental Health Today Scotland is a new exhibition dedicated to mental health care, support, training and education in Scotland. This unique event will be the first of it’s kind in Scotland bringing together mental health service providers from across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors.

The event will provide a chance for staff, managers, carers and service users to look at how final preparations are progressing as Scotland moves towards full implementation of the Mental Health Act.

Over 1500 mental health care professionals are expected to attend, bringing together everyone working within mental health services in Scotland to discuss best practice and drive the mental health agenda forward.

Run by Pavilion and sponsored by the Scottish Executive, Mental Welfare Commission for Scotland, Penumbra, the Richmond Fellowship Scotland, the Mental Health Foundation and the Scottish Association for Mental Health, the exhibition will showcase key organisations from the mental health field including service providers, publishers, education and training providers, advocacy organisations, voluntary organisations and many more.

Mental Health Today Scotland will offer a packed programme of cutting-edge seminars featuring leading policy makers, service users and frontline staff showcasing good practice from around the UK. The seminars will focus on well-being and prevention, social justice, flexible and responsive services and service user empowerment.

All those attending will also have the opportunity to experience and enjoy an arena of art and performance, a Training Zone, a Relaxation Zone offering free therapies and a ‘Chill Out’ Zone.
