Little League registration: North Kingstown children who will be between the ages of 5 and 18 as of April 30 may sign up for Little League Saturday morning from 10 to noon at St. Francis De Sales Church, on School Street in North Kingstown. Two more registration sessions are scheduled Feb. 7 from 6 to 8 p.m., at Forest Park School, and Feb. 24 from 10 a.m. to noon at the St. Francis De Sales Church. Birth certificates are required.

Fees are $80 for those age 5 to 12, $95 for ages 13 to 18, and $25 for each additional player from the same family. Families who register on or before Feb. 7 will receive a $10 discount. For information, call 886-0911.

Indoor gym: The South Kingstown Parks and Recreation Department sponsors indoor gym sessions for children age 4 and under, with parents, at the Neighborhood Guild, 325 Columbia St., Peace Dale, each Monday and Friday from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Fees are $1 for adults, 50 cents for children, free to those under 1. For information, call 789-9301.

Nature story time: The Audubon Society of Rhode Island is sponsoring a nature-themed story time for children age 3 to 5, who must be accompanied by an adult, Friday morning at 10 at Birdwatchers Nature View, on Main Street in Wakefield.

Fees are $5 for members, $6 for others. To register, call 949- 5454, ext. 3014.

Open story times: The Watch Hill Improvement Society Library hosts story times for all ages each Tuesday at 10:30 a.m., and Wednesday at 12:30 p.m.

Westerly High School students lead story times for children age 3 and up, each Monday at 1:15 p.m., and Friday at 10 a.m., at the Westerly Public Library, 44 Broad St., Westerly.

Children may bring their Teddy bears and “drop in” to half-hour story times each Wednesday at 6:30 p.m., except school vacation week, at Clark Memorial Library, 7 Pinehurst Drive, Carolina.

The Willett Free Library, on Ferry Road in Saunderstown, conducts preschool story hours each Wednesday afternoon from 3:30 to 4:30. For information, call 294-2081.

Storytime for children is conducted Monday and Friday at 10:15 a.m. at the Davisville Free Library, on Davisville Road in North Kingstown, through July. Stories and crafts are appropriate for ages 2 to 6.

The Jamestown Library, 26 North Rd., Jamestown, conducts story hours each Wednesday, from 10:15 to 11 a.m. for 2-year-olds, and 11:15 to noon for ages 3 to 5. All children must be accompanied.

Hope Valley’s Langworthy Library, 24 Spring St., conducts story hours each Wednesday and Friday, from 10:30 to 11 a.m.

Book groups: The Peace Dale Library conducts a book discussion group for students in grades 6 through 8 the first Thursday of the month from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m. A group for children in grades 4 through 6 meets the last Thursday of the month at 4 p.m.

Children in grades 4 through 6 may join a book club at the Robert Beverly Hale Library. For information, call 783-5386.

The Cross’ Mills Public Library hosts “Reading Explorers,” meeting the third Monday of the month, from 6 to 7 p.m., for children age 9 to 12. To register, call 364-6211.

Sing-alongs: The Hopkinton Recreation Department sponsors sing- alongs for toddlers, accompanied by an adult, each Wednesday morning at 10 at its activities center in Crandall Field, Ashaway.

Anime club: The Jamestown Library, 26 North Rd., Jamestown, hosts an Anime club for teenagers to view and discuss animated Japanese films, the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m.

Knitting: The Westerly Public Library, 44 Broad St., Westerly hosts a knitting club for children in grades 6 through 12 each Friday from 3 to 5 p.m. Yarn will be provided, but kids should bring their own knitting needles.
