How I-10, Surface Road Project Restrictions Affect Traffic Patterns

Jan. 13–Drivers in the Craycroft construction zone from River Road to Sunrise Drive should continue to watch for intermittent lane closures as crews continue to do landscape work and install guardrails.

The final layer of rubberized asphalt is scheduled to be paved in the spring.

Interstate 10 widening, Tangerine Road to Pinal Air Park Road

From 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sundays through Thursdays, drivers should expect intermittent lane closures in the work area.

From today at 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. Monday, the westbound ramps at Pinal Air Park Road will be closed.

From 8 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday, the eastbound ramps at Pinal Air Park Road will be closed.

From 8 p.m. Wednesday until 5 p.m. the next morning, the eastbound off-ramp at Marana Road will be closed.

These closures are subject to change.

Grant Road restrictions

The installation of a new water line will affect drivers on Grant Road at Sonoita Place, near the East Lawn Palms Cemetery.

The installation will require some lane closures during the work.

The eastbound curb lane will be closed from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday.

The eastbound curb lane and the center lane will be closed from 7 p.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday.

The eastbound median lane, the westbound median lane and the center lane will be closed from 7 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday.

The westbound curb lane will be closed Thursday night from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next morning.

At least one lane will be open in each direction during the work, and business and residential access will be available.

Grant Road Improvement panel workshops

Three planning workshops are scheduled for this week to update residents on the plans to widen Grant Road from Oracle Road to Swan Road.

Each meeting will focus on one section of the widening plan, and attendees will work in small groups to give feedback on the plan.

The meetings will take place from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Tucson Association of Realtors offices, 2445 N. Tucson Blvd. The meetings will cover the following areas:

–Monday, western segment, Oracle Road to First Avenue.

–Wednesday, the central segment, First Avenue to Tucson Boulevard.

–Thursday, the eastern segment, Tucson Boulevard to Swan Road.
