Balance Learning Debuts Performance Management Training Program, Developed in Conjunction With Delta Air Lines

Posted on: Tuesday, 25 January 2005, 12:00 CST

WOBURN, Mass., Jan. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Balance Learning, a provider of comprehensive blended learning solutions for strategic corporate training, today announced the availability of "Performance Management," a comprehensive blended learning curriculum targeted to supervisors, managers, and other professionals responsible for assessing and managing employees' performance. The program, developed in partnership with Delta Air Lines, addresses a wide variety of topics, including how to set performance standards and goals, various ways to monitor employee performance, and methodologies for assessment. As with all Balance Learning offerings, the performance management program includes self-paced learning, instructor-led workshops, on- the-job activities to reinforce learning and milestone assessments to measure results.

"Corporations recognize that performance management is strategic in business today, given the close scrutiny of costs, productivity, and customer retention," said Chris Horseman, president and CEO of Balance Learning. "This program is designed to help companies obtain dramatic improvements and consistency in performance management and at the same time, increase the satisfaction and potential of their employees."

"Performance Management" encompasses on-line courses, workshop instruction, and on-the-job activities that help managers understand the requirements of effective performance management, learn how to set realistic goals and expectations, hone communication skills, and alter their own management styles to develop more productive employee relationships. The program curriculum can be easily customized to support existing performance management processes or specific business needs. Balance Learning's Dimension Manager, included with the program, handles all administrative and tracking functions and automates communications, scheduling, and reporting for employees, supervisors, and managers. The Balance Learning program can also be managed by any third-party learning management system.

"Our development team's in-depth corporate training experience, coupled with detailed input from Delta Air Lines' training professionals, has resulted in a blended program that is designed to be highly scalable and cost effective, while achieving immediate and lasting results," said Horseman.
