GRANDMA Denise Clues had to turn midwife when her daughter went into labour.

Brooke Clues, 22, of Glascote Heath, Tamworth, Staffordshire, was planning a home delivery for her third child.

But the labour progressed very quickly and midwives were unable to get to the house in time – so Denise stepped in.

Baby Lilly was safely delivered, weighing 6lbs 9ozs.

Brooke said: “I’m really pleased that mum helped to bring Lilly into the world. She is my rock.

“Mum and Lilly will always have a special bond.”
