Numerous Successes in the Healthcare Industry Achieved With Hyland Software’s OnBase

CLEVELAND, Jan. 22 /PRNewswire/ — Hyland Software, the developer of OnBase, today announced its cumulative excellence in the healthcare industry in 2007. OnBase enterprise document management solutions for healthcare meet both the enterprise platform requirements of large, integrated delivery networks as well as the mid-range needs of community hospitals, outpatient and ambulatory clinics. Last year, Hyland’s OnBase Healthcare Solutions practice increased annual revenues by more than 85% over 2006, which is directly related to Hyland Software’s unique product offerings to an industry focused on fulfilling healthcare IT initiatives. This growth resulted in healthcare being Hyland’s largest industry sector. In addition to record revenue growth, Hyland also achieved numerous healthcare industry accolades in 2007 including:

   — More than 70 new healthcare customers. Today, more than 600 healthcare      enterprises use OnBase across more than 2,000 unique facilities. Of the       new customers, five are currently ranked on the US News & World Report:       America’s Best Hospitals 2007 list. These enterprise-wide installations       at large integrated delivery networks, include both clinical and      business offices, and will span 58 hospitals, 352 clinics and nearly      120,000 employees.       While continuing to enjoy growth in integrated delivery networks,      Hyland Software also added 37 new community hospital and ambulatory      sites to its customer community.    — VHA, the national health care alliance that provides industry-leading      supply chain management services and helps members improve their      clinical and economic performance, signed an agreement with Hyland      Software that provides discounted pricing on OnBase document management       solutions to VHA’s 1,400 member hospitals and 21,000 non-acute health      care organizations. After a thorough examination of the document      management market, VHA finalized an agreement with Hyland Software      because of Hyland’s expertise in the document management space, as well       as recommendations from OnBase customers in VHA’s membership.    — Hyland Software’s OnBase Healthcare solutions were awarded top honors      at the 2007 AIIM Conference and Expo, an enterprise content management-      industry tradeshow dedicated to presenting technologies such as      document imaging and management. Winners of the Industry ACE Award for      Healthcare are selected for their innovative, feature-rich product      lines, valuable information resources offered and outstanding outreach      programs and services.    — For the third consecutive year, Hyland Software was included in the      KLAS, Top 20 Overall Healthcare IT Products ranking, released by KLAS      Enterprises, a research firm specializing in monitoring and reporting      the performance of information technology vendors in the healthcare      field.

   — Allina Hospitals and Clinics received the prestigious Davies Award of      Excellence from the Healthcare Information and Management Systems      Society (HIMSS) for its successful implementation of a comprehensive      electronic medical record (EMR) solution. The solution integrates      OnBase document management functionality with Allina’s Epic EMR across      the enterprise. The Allina EMR project spans 11 hospitals and 65      clinics and has become a showcase example of how to implement a      complete EMR on time and within budget.    — In November 2007, a Hyland OnBase customer, San Diego-based Sharp      Healthcare, was awarded the Baldrige National Quality Award by      President Bush and Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez. The award is      the nation’s highest presidential honor for quality and organizational      performance and excellence. Sharp Healthcare was selected from 84      applicants.
